PLEASE MAKE SURE THE COLLEGE HAS YOUR MOST UP-TO DATE MOBILE NUMBER ON THE
OFFICE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR TEXT ALERTS.
IN AN EMERGENCY, YOU CAN INFORM US OF A CHANGE OF MOBILE NUMBER BY TEXTING WITH THE NEW NUMBER, INCLUDING YOUR NAME, THE OLD NUMBER YOU HAD PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED TO THE COLLEGE AND YOUR CURRENT FAMILY SECURITY PASSWORD.
The safety and well-being of our pupils, parents and staff is very important to us and we take this responsibility very seriously. It is very rare that we have to make the decision to close the College buildings in the event of bad weather but, when we do, it is always to ensure that everyone is kept safe on the College site. We will usually do all that we can to remain open but if the site and surrounding paths and roads are considered too dangerous for children, we have a duty of care to all concerned to ensure safety is paramount.
If the College needs to be closed during the day, parents will be contacted by text and arrangements will be made to collect your child. In the event that this is not impossible, we will supervise your child until you are able to collect, or until the end of the normal College day. We will only make this decision if weather conditions deteriorate rapidly or in case of an emergency, such as a flood.
If the decision is made before the College day begins not to open on that day as a result of bad weather conditions, details will be posted HERE on the College website. Please look out for the "College Closed Today..." warning on the front page. For more information, you can check out the "Latest News" link on the "News and Events" tab.
We will also send a text message via the Teachers2Parents texting service.
