College Council News

Working together with our pupils.

Welcome to the College Council page!

The College Council plays an important role in the running of White Cliffs.

Meeting at regular times throughout the year, two College Council representatives are selected for each class. They share the views of the children in their class with Miss Pitcher and give ideas for future projects that the children would like to get involved with.

The College Council have worked with pupils throughout the College to devise a new "Playground Contract" which all children will be following at Break Times.

The Contract has been brought in as we celebrate the arrival of our new Play equipment that the College Council have chosen, with input from their class mates.

Haiti Appeal

During one of our College Council meetings we discussed an Assembly we had attended that week. Mrs Fotheringham had explained about Hurricane Matthew and how it devastated the country of Haiti. As a College Council we decided to raise money to help them. Miss Lowe explained Oxfam were already out in Haiti helping people. We held a non- uniform day on Friday 28th October and asked children to bring in £1 to help Haiti, we designed our own flyer to let people know. We raised £233.40! This money will never be sent to Oxfam to help all the people in Haiti.
