Our Marble Treat!

Our children looked fabulous today as they all enjoyed their marble treat, a wonderful ‘Prince and Princess’ party. Everybody had lots of fun at their well earned marble treat, and tucked in to a fantastic ‘Princess Castle’ cake made by Liza!

Painting With Shapes

Our theme this term is ‘On the Farm’ and the children have been having lots of fun painting sheep using shapes. They have also been following patterns to decorate animals and have worked very hard matching numbers!

Time to Tell a Tale

Once upon a time in Pebbles Nursery children learnt all the fairy stories in the land. This term the children will journey through the magical world hidden in our traditional tales.   Along the way they will meet new and exciting characters and learn the moral behind each story. They will learn to make up their own stories through exploring different types of story language.

Our Christmas Party

Christmas celebrations at Pebbles lasted for weeks. We enjoyed the school's yummy Christmas dinner and had a big party, Father Christmas even turned up! We have made many Christmas crafts and decorated the Nursery.

Christmas Craft Morning

A BIG thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Christmas Craft morning. The staff and children enjoyed having you with us to create beautiful Russian Christmas ornaments and crafts. We are looking forward to holding our next orientation morning in Term 4.

Children in Need

To raise money for Children In Need we came into Nursery dressed as our hero. As you can imagine most of us wanted to be SUPERHEROS!!! So we all decided to make superhero crown and capes to wear for the day, even the grown ups took part!

Remembrance Day

Along with the rest of the school Pebbles have been learning about why we wear poppies. The children have all taken part in making a wreath to lay during the whole school remembrance assembly on Wednesday.

Through our new topic of Festivals we have learnt all about fireworks. We have learnt how to stay safe around bonfires and fireworks. During group times we have drawn, painted and written about fireworks.  We even decorated the playground in firework pictures.

Mark Making

Throughout this term we have been experimenting in different ways of making marks. We enjoy writing our names and making patterns in the sand and shaving foam.

Week beginning Monday 5th October

In Pebbles we have been learning all about our bodies this week. We have named different parts of our bodies and learnt lots of new songs about it. We used play dough and different materials to make different faces.

At home challenge:

How many body parts can your little Pebble remember?

Coming up next week...

We are going to learn all about our 5 senses!

Week beginning Monday 21st September 2015

This week in Pebbles we have been learning all about our families. We have been doing some super counting with wooden families, reading stories about different families and drawing pictures of our own families.

Can we say a MASSIVE thank you to all the parents and children who have completed there Little Pebbles and returned them. They are on display in the entrance corridor. It is a great way for the staff to get to know your little Pebble and share great news from home.
