Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND) Provision at White Cliffs Primary College for the Arts


White Cliffs Primary College is committed to providing an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best possible progress for all of our pupils, whatever their needs and abilities. The College seeks to raise the achievement, remove barriers to learning and increase physical and curricular access for all, through the development of an environment where all children can flourish. All children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND) are valued, respected and are equal members of the College.

As such, provision for pupils with SEND is the responsibility for the College as a whole - “All teachers are teachers of pupils with SEN” – and everything begins with high quality first teaching. We are committed to inclusion and to ensuring that lessons are planned and adapted to meet the needs of all of our pupils.


At White Cliffs Primary College, Miss Clare Hodgson is the member of staff who is assigned to support children with speech and language difficulties. She supports children who require additional help to achieve their maximum potential.



Mrs Helen Castle is the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and has undertaken additional training and qualifications to enable her to offer specialist support and advice.
