A huge White Cliffs well done to Archie in Year 3! On Saturday, Archie had to go all the way to Hastings as he had won an English Heritage Story competition. He had to write a 200 word story based on the Battle of Hastings and he won the most gory section. He also got to meet children's author Jim Eldridge, who gave Archie a signed copy of one of his books, a £10 gift card, some chocolate coins and a certificate!
Superstar Tea Party!
We had another Superstar tea party and the children invited had so much fun! We had lots of party food and got to sit and have a nice afternoon with our friends. Mr Paget got into such a mess with the chocolate fountain! It was very fun dipping our different fruit into our melted chocolate.
Amazing Progress!
This week, Year 1 have been doing lots of assessments, and Henley has made some amazing progress with his common exception words. He was lucky enough to go and show Mrs Fotheringham and she let him choose a special prize from her basket. Henley chose some ninja turtle lego and a ladybird rubber. Well done Henley!
Superb Reading!
A massive well done to Lexi in Year 1 this week who has already started Accelerated Reader! She had an amazing reading age that was much higher than her actual age! Already this week, Lexi has sat 4 Accelerated Reader tests and passed every single one! Today, Friday 9th December, she was able to see Mrs Fotheringham who gave her the Head Teachers Award and Lexi was lucky enough to choose a prize from Mrs Fotheringham's special pink prize basket!
Well done Lexi!
