Your child's education is important to all of us and we consider it to be a true partnership between the College and the parents & carers. We consult with the pupils and the adults frequently; pupils have a voice through the College Council and we survey Parents and Carers annually on a variety of issues.


Introducing "School Gateway" and the Amazing App!

We have been keeping parents and carers in touch via Text messages since 2014 and technology has come a long way in that time. Many of our parents and carers have smart devices such as mobile phones and tablets and we have been looking at ways for keeping in contact and make it even easier for them to contact the College.

We have teamed up with a company called "Schoolcomms" which offer our parents access to free messaging* along with details of your child's attendance, the ability to notify us about your child's absence, pay dinner money, "click-to-consent" messages for trips and much more! The best news is that School Gateway will actually save both you and the College money by using the app rather than sending text messages by the mobile operator. 

We shall be phasing in the launch of different services over time, so keep an eye on your app for announcements of the new features and when they will be available to you!

How do I get it?

All you need is the Schoolcomms 'School Gateway' letter supplied by the College with your unique security information - you can register all the children in your family though one login! Once registered, you get sent a PIN number to enter for extra security, and then you are all set!


If you haven't received your School Gateway letter, request a replacement one by sending an email address in a text message to the College on the number you have previously registered with us, or come to the College Office during opening hours to request a replacement. In the interests of safety and security, you may need to provide photographic identification or your 'family password.'


There are three ways to get into the "School Gateway"  from Schoolcomms:

The set-up process is simple and will take no more than a couple of minutes:

1. Search for “School Gateway” in the Apple App Store/Google Play or on your phone go to (Apple) or (Android)

2. Install the app and if you are asked then say yes to “Allow Push Notifications”

3. When you launch School Gateway for the first time, please select ‘New User’ and enter the email address and mobile telephone number you have registered with the school

4. The system will send a PIN code to your phone; please enter this PIN code and the app will be activated for you.
As soon as you’ve got the system set-up, all of the text messages we send you will appear in the app; you’ll receive notifications/alerts as normal.

If you’ve recently changed your email address or mobile telephone number, please let us know so we can update our records.

In addition to this, Parents and carers have a voice through their representatives on the College Advisory Board, which meets at regular times throughout the year and feeds back to the Board of Directors for the federation Multi-Academy Trust. Pebbles Nursery has a separate Advisory Board which is also made up of parent representatives and informs the Directors in a similar way to the College Board.
